The TTL on the problem domain in question (the one with multiple SPF records) is 1 hour so wait at least one hour before trying a test again to ensure the various servers involved aren't referring to their DNS cache instead of doing a new lookup. So definitely start there and see if the problem goes away. Not everybody implements the RFCs exactly. I've seen all kinds of SPF implementations over the years that are far from perfect. I'm not sure if that error goes up the chain and make the original domain fail - that's largely up to the receiving server's implementation. ![]() Those domains' SPF records will also be queried and that one particular one has two records which technically is an error condition. In your case SPF lookup for the domain in question will lead to an SPF lookup for the domains in your "include" fields. SPF record lookups are done recursively so a server gets a complete picture of all the authorized sending mail servers for a domain. ![]() Those 2 SPF records need to be merged into one single one.
